We did the champagne tasting here after checking into the Jean Moet this weekend. It's a great place for groups! We sat at the bar and did the tasting which included five different champagnes. We also had the cheese plate which was delicious. They also offer snacks (olives, crakers, biscuits) as well which is self-service. More

Friendly service, excellent food (especially if you are adventurous and order the dishes with more unusual cuts of meat (at least to non-European tongues). Hubby's Pig's Trotter Pie was amazing (and did not look like a pig's foot at all! I don't know what I was expecting, but it was just a wonderful pie) and the fried calves' liver was... More

We went to dinner at La cave a Champagne and we indulged in the Gourmand menu. Our three course meal was delicious, especially the foie gras with champagne confit. The menu was 31 EUR for 3 courses which I think is very reasonable. Their wine list was very extensive with a range of choices at a reasonable price. Overall, it... More

It's always crowded, a good sign. You'll hear a lot of English among the patrons, but the staff that served us didn't speak much. The food is definitely good, but pricey. If you don't speak French, get your hotel to make a reservation for you. Tables very close to each other, but this turned to our advantage as we ended... More

I think what I learned from the unhappy reviews is not to rely on the internet as 100% gospel when concerning a reservation(Go to the restaurant a few hours before and confirm you are on the list). I made my reservation the night before directly at the reception area for 7pm and was welcomed by very polite and obliging staff... More

A group of nine of us were left standing famished in the Epernay rain by La Cave A Champagne. A booking had been made (and confirmed twice by email); regardless the very rude and unhelpful staff denied all knowledge of any correspondence (despite being shown the aforementioned emails). There was entire room of empty tables with no offer of any... More

We made a booking well in advance of our trip to Epernay based upon the reviews. This was reconfirmed the week before arriving. But upon arriving at the restaurant, they denied all knowledge of the booking, even after showing them the confirmation email. Ok, everyone makes a mistake, but they didn't even offer an apology, and were really quite rude.... More

You walk on the street and you see this decrepit door and a bilingual menu (a usual sign for a tourist trap) and then you walk in and the whole perception changes. Local people, delightful decir and old world charm, awesome food and service and even 1/2 bottles of Champagne so one can still drive. Highly recommended! More

We went for the 35 euro menu and it was wonderful! The food was truly authentic to the Champagne region and it tasted delicious. We loved the cosiness of the place and the intimate yet buzzing atmosphere. Great value and definitely recommended! More

We have just arrived in France for an extended vacation. Our first stop after CDG was Epernay, where we are staying for a few days. Our receptionist recommended six different restaurants within a few blocks of where we are staying with the general caveat that "you cannot go wrong with any of these". So far, we have just visited La... More
