The food is top class French modern cuisine served by friendly staff in an agreeable cadre. Rather expensive. More

We had dinner at the Auberge du Bon Laboureur on April 1 2012. We didn't have a reservation, but it wasn't required either. I had the "Descouverte" menu while my wife and daughter had ala carte. Some of highlights include - white asparagus with mustard sauce (very good) - white cod (perfectly cooked) - prawns, puree la truffe (beautiful presentation)... More

Our decision to have our Saturday lunch at Bon Laboureur was primarily based on the Michelin one-star. As it eventually turned out, this star was well deserved. We had two different menus: découverte (my wife) and gourmand (myself.) There were no coordination issues – all the dishes were served smoothly, at the same time. Both menus were fabulous in terms... We have both stayed and eaten at this hotel many times. We have never had cause to complain about anything! The food is excellent, the hotel very comfortable and in the summer the patio area is simply lovely, the flower beds are stunning. it is good value for money for the quality and excellence of food. Delicious french cuisine and wine. Amazing tomato and beef pie as a starter and the best lamb I've ever had in my life as a main course! Great setting, and only a few minutes walk away from the Chateau de Chenonceau. More

The ambiance, service and quality of the restaurant were, for us, excellent. Very high quality simplicity. Our room was charming but a couple of quirks. More

Went for dinner with my wife and daughter based on reviews and the Michelin star. Great spot for us to go to Chenonceau Chateau for son et lumiere after dinner The food was outstanding, taste and presentation excellent. Service was a little stiff at first, slow to bring water or take our order, but then got better. Only tragic flaw... More

We spent three weeks in France, dining in some wonderful restaurants, including some other Michelin-starred establishments. Of all the places we ate, Le Bon Laboureur was my favorite. The dining room ambiance was lovely, the service was excellent, and the food was wonderful. We had the "discovery" menu which was 48€ for the meal, an excellent value. Next time, however,... More
