You'll have to stand in line... but there's a reason for the popularity. Great steak, and the sauce! They'll rush you through. But there are people waiting, and as an American a faster paced meal is occasionally welcome. Fantastic and not to be missed. More

The so-called steak fillet is swimming in oil. The French fries are dry with no taste. No ketchup is available. Bread is cold. No olive oil or balsamic vinegar. The servers do nothing but repeatedly approach your table and ask 'l'addition?'. It's a horrible experience. The whole experience sucks. For €17 set menu, you can have much better food in... More

We first found L'Entrecote in Paris, and it was brilliant, so when we discovered there was one in Bordeaux we were delighted. Clearly, readig other reviews it is not to everyones liking...... But, if you love steak and chips, in an amazing sauce in a very convivial atmosphere then you will love it here! No choice - Salad with walnuts... More

The most entertaining part of this meal was being puzzled by why such an empty enterprise could warrant such formidable local attention! At 1830, we begin queuing outside in plumes of cigarette smoke and witnessing stained table cloths being dressed onto the tables as the restaurant gets ready for their much awaited opening at 1915. As the doors open, we... More

This place is a classic. You wait in line (about 30 minutes) before a table is free in this 4 story restaurant. Once inside, no need to choose your food. Everyone eats the same salad, steak and fries (all you can eat). The best, most tender steak you'll find with perfect fries. Service is quick and efficient. Wine is very... More

Amazing place, didnt know what to expect ! Everyone was queing, so we joined them !!! There are three floors here and they let people in in stages. There is a set menu and you get served almost immediately after being seated. The meal we had was a very basic salad, following b y the most amazing thinly sliced Entrecote... More

This is the french version of fast food and there is definitely a reason why the French can say they do it better. We have Mcdonald's, they have L'Entrecote. You line up for a table outside. Come about 1/2 hour before they open at 7:15. Once the doors open you troop inside and pick a table in the room you... More

We were waiting outside the Bordeaux Tourism Office when we saw this big line outside the restaurant during lunch. When we returned from our wine tour, it was about 6:30 pm. We had no real plans for dinner and no reservations on a Saturday night. So, we figured we might as well join the line that is forming. By the... More
