The dining room blends rustic Italian with modern style. Think exposed brick, farmhouse furniture, cool lighting and sleek bar. Only the freshest ingredients go into the classic and innovative Italian dishes; such as handmade artisan pastas, stone-baked pizzas, lighter salads and a selection of meat and fish. We booked after a recommendation and were not disappointed. We were shown to our table quickly. Starters and main course for all 4 was an excellent standard. The duck Wellington was superb. The carpaccio starter stunning. Service was good and would recommend this place as excellent food and good value for money in a city centre restaurant.

I've visited olive press many times this year and would recommend it to anyone! If you can get a voucher for 40% off the bill this place is an absolute bargain! Service is always excellent-if you are looking for an Italian in Manchester which doesn't seem too much like a chain and isn't too crammed I would look no further.

After first eating here a number of years ago, and having raved to all and sundry about 'the best pizza I've ever eaten' I really wanted to make a return visit. I was saddened to find it had been taken off the menu but was more than happy to try something new. The service was great, however it was early... More

A night out with friends and colleagues. Good range of cocktails - some unusual ones but all excellent though the service was a little slow. Had olives, dough petals (truly wonderful) and bruschetta (just as good) in the bar before moving into the restaurant. Chose a selection of small size portions for us all to try - of particular note... More

A decent no nonsense restaurant with good service. Wine was good value, both by the bottle and by the glass. My only complaint was that the garlic in my pasta had been burned, giving the dish a distinctive "burnt garlic" taste.

We ate here on Bank Holiday Monday and found the food to be bland and lacking in taste. The surroundings and staff were pleasant, however the disappointment was in the food: the sea salt and rosemary garlic bread lacked flavour although the marinated olives were good. The wine was ok, we chose the Italian Sauvignon and although it was served... More

This is an excellent restaurant near to Deansgate in Manchester. The food is very inexpensive and the amount of choice is daunting. The risotto was absolutely the best - there are various types of risotto to choose from and I had the crayfish saffron risotto - delicious. Good service and very pleasant atmosphere and they have lager on draught.
