Thoroughly enjoyed our meals at this modern restaurant. Food tasty, elegantly served, with a good choice. In fact, I could have licked my plate I enjoyed it so much. More

Fantastic! I went there twice this weekend whilst in Manchester, first for a cheeky dessert and hot chocolate - the sticky toffee pudding was amazing, the caramel sauce was lovely and it came with warm cream, which was a lovely surprise! The hot chocolate was gorgeous as well, nice and creamy! I then went back for Sunday brunch, where I... More

Had high expectations of this restaurant and was extremely disappointed. We came across it on our way to Jamie's Italian, and having wanted to visit for some time, we decided we would rather try 1847. I wish we had carried on to Jamie's! The tasting starter menu was bland- they chose 3 dishes for you we were given a canapé... More

Although I'm vegetarian I'm not usually a fan of vegetarian restaurants. I did like this one as the food was tasty, well presented and not rabbit food! The service was a little slow but I got the impression it was all fresh and there were no shortcuts. I do think that they could do with someone out front with a... More

Went here last night, now I'm not Vegetarian but my partner is so I always approach such places with concerns over not finding anything I will enjoy, well I certainly found that here, the restaurant is very nicely decorated but more importantly, the food is delicious, I chose the taster menu which was soup of the day (slightly underseasoned but... I had grilled halloumi with tomato&olives. this sort of a dip was very dry and oniony, no chance to taste even an olive. it was in... More

It would be easy to say that this is one of the best restaurants we've been to - anywhere in the world - but that would be an understatement. It is THE best. I've been working through the menu ever since our first visit just a few weeks ago, and now have only one dish left to sample! Every dish... More
