Was recommended to go here for breakfast and was not dissapointed ~ even with a mix up with a hot drink. Food was done just as requested... Filling, tasty and kept it's heat ~ what else do you need to know when having Full-English breakfasts?...Would definitely return if in the area and time permits.More
Came in today for my mother in laws birthday i had spoke to the girls to see if they could do a cake balloon and flowers for her (shes hard to buy for) and they did a fantastic job I brought my 2 year old...son in who isnt the easier to please but the staff and customers were brilliant even when he had a little scream No uncomfortable feeling when he screamed or eyes rolling Absolute fantastic atmosphere and made to feel very much at home Highly recommend nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff at bliss *****More
Cafe that I normally used was closed so thought I'd give this one a try ... staff were friendly and quickly brought my coffee ... 10 min for breakfast but you would expect that ... decent size serving and have to say I enjoyed it...... little more pricey than my usual haunt but would visit againMore
We called at 2pm so they were no longer serving hot food - so we had tea and a slice of homemade Victoria sponge for two (£6.10) which was quite nice. The young man who served us was very friendly and helpful
Every time we go in, we are always greeted with a friendly smile from Nadine and staff. They accommodate us no matter what and always make sure my daughter gets her food first. Best cafe in the area.
Breakfast was foul. Just left bliss coffee shop and for the money it’s shocking! Black pudding wasn’t cooked, sausages were lute warm, bacon was only just passable as cooked, tomatoes were lute warm beans were like bullets, bread was smothered in cheap nasty butter. Won’t ever...go here again. Use to be really good. Staff are pig ignorant managers only speak to who they want to!! No feed back done to see how your meal is and no manners from staff!! how they can justify giving customers food like this is behond me!! Worse breakfast EVER will not be back!! I’m all for local cafes but sorry no more!! I will stick to kings in future!More

A fantastic little coffee shop , in the centre of the town , all staff are pleasant and polite , all cakes and food are homemade , and a good selection of teas and coffee .
Great little cafe homemade cakes and gorgeous coffee with fantastic service right in the very heart of Thorne all for a very reasonable price.
Beautiful family run cafe. Lovely friendly staff. Lush food. Great place to have a quick bite to eat when meeting family and friends on your lunch hour.
In the centre of Thorne is a little oasis called Bliss Coffee Shop! Step inside to a warm welcome; be taken back in time with traditionally home cook meals, mouth-watering homemade desserts and a wide selection of hot and cold drinks. The staff are very...friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. Bliss Coffee Shop offers both five star service and grate value for money. If you’re looking for good food, relaxing atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff then look no further. I’d recommend a little bit of “Bliss” to everyone!More
I don't know Thorne very well but had some time to waste, I came accross Bliss Coffee Shop. Lovley little cute coffe shop/tea room. I orded a large hot chocolate with marshmellows £2.10 along witha toasted tea cake at £1.20. Staff seemed nice and friendly...although one member was quite loud nattering but it seemed to be to regular customers and it didn't really bother me too much. The decor was sweet, white and a sage green with lovley little details such as fairy lights in glass cake covers, flowers on the tables and homemade cakes displayed in a glass cabinet. I later orded the chicken tikka wrap which came with a side salad and colslaw at £3.50. Overall I enjoyed my experince at Bliss Coffee Shop and if I were in the area, I'd visit again as some of thier 'Today's Specials' sounded lovley and were all very reasonably priced.More
Was in Thorne at lunchtime and I always find a local independently run coffee shop for a spot of lunch, always steering clear of Costas, Starbucks or Prets. The menu had a range of paninis, sandwiches etc. Bliss is very obviously popular with senior members...of the population and appears to cater for them very well. The specials menu choices are not wide and obviously are aimed at the regulars. Belly pork, gammon and egg, corned beef and potato pie, Liver, sausage and onions. The most exotic dish was lasagne. All are priced very reasonably at £4.50. I opted for the lasagne which was served with a basic green salad, coleslaw and chips. All was reasonably good and certainly for £4.50 was very good value. Cappuccino however was poor. Bean flavour was a little too toasted, possibly due to burning in the brewer. Milk had been overfrothed at too high a temperature and no crema was visible. What resulted was a bitter, very hot coffee. Someone needs to go on a coffee making course I think. Decor was a little tired. Definitely like stepping back in time.More
