Fantastic service from the friendly bar staff. Big stack burger and beef pie are excellent. Great spot to relax for the evening, especially when staying in the premier inn opposite. Lee is always on hand and has been a gentleman throughout my stay.

Lovely food and great service every time I visit. I highly recommend the Sunday Carvery! There’s larger options as well as plenty of options for the kids. Delicious!

I was served by Sally G and she was AMAZING. She was very friendly and gave excellent service. My food was overcooked and Sally had changed it to a fresh one straight away with complimentary drink from the drink menu without hesitation. She was very...approachable and had fast customer service. She was so calm and gentle when talking and serving food. I think she definitely deserves a pay rise!!!!! Lovey Lady :) 12/10More
Very good prompt service ,staff very aware of gluten free food. Very tasty curry. My friend had the Lasagna which was freshly cooked.
How can a pub in Britain - let alone Yorkshire not have a draught bitter ? It's not really a pub, its the eating house associated to the hotel :-(
Amazing service and food! The food was lovely, came out warm and exactly as we wanted it. Our servers, Amy and Mel, were lovely too! The atmosphere is great as well, nice and warm inside. Cannot recommend enough.
Unless you like lukewarm food and poor service, avoid at all costs! I didn't expect haute cuisine from a chain, but I also didn't expect such dreadful service. I arrived at 6pm and waited a while at the door before an unhappy young man sullenly...told me to sit l anywhere I liked. I found a table and when 15 minutes had passed but still nobody had came to take my order, I went to the bar where a very pleasant and helpful young woman apologised and explained that the man should have told me that orders needed fo be placed at the bar. I ordered food and drink, and paid at 18:17. The restaurant was not busy - perhaps a quarter to a third full, but my food arrived exactly 30 minutes later, at 18.47. It not only looked dull and unappealing, it was also lukewarm. The steak was cooked exactly as I'd ordered it, but soft, tepid fries, cold hard peas and a cool steak were not what I would have expected - particularly not for nearly £14. The cold greasy onion rings made feel a bit queasy. There are lots of places to eat in this location. I highly recommend trying ANY of them, before eating here.More
Steaks were very good but like a curates egg the experience was only good in parts. Despite asking three times to the point of embarrassment, desserts did not arrive and we gave up after waiting 57 minutes after the main course plates were cleared. I’m...really unsure whether it was a deliberate response to having asked twice two many times or what. Go figure.More
We were served by Courtney, who was very helpful, polite, friendly and efficient. The breakfast was excellent and very good value
We came as a family for a meal and everything was nice until you needed a drink and the bar was rammed all the time and only one person serving someone called lee what a good job he was doing serving drinks and taking meal...orders and still smiling,if that was me I would of walked out,it's not on all that stress and work for one young lad,all other staff was in the kitchen area really not on.More
The place was freezing!! Heating had broken, but i was in there 3wks ago and it was broken!! Its terrible.everyone was complaining, you shouldnt have to go for a meal and sit in your coat.there was one tiny table top heater near the bar.
The restaurant was cold, 3 trips to the bar were needed to order one drink(no gin available to make the 1st choice cocktail, no syrup available for 2nd choice cocktail, and no ginger ale, so settled for coke!). One till was broken, one till only...available for drinks orders, the other only available for food. An accompanying glass of wine was poor, The food came quickly, and was standard pub fare, mercifully served on warm plates by a cheery server.both the gammon and the steak and ale pie were about what we expected, and a lot better than we were dreading after the drinks fiasco. All in all, we weren't encouraged to stick around, and not sure I'd want to go back.More
We came here for our work Christmas lunch. 3 courses and everything was perfect. The food was delicious - from the size of portions, the temperature of food and the taste, it was all perfect. Service was fantastic - staff were lovely and couldn’t do...enough for us. We will definitely be back and personally will be coming back as a family… thank you !!More
Food is ok for the price but service was ridiculously slow given we arrived at a quiet time ... 12.20pm. Waited 35 mins for 2 curries & a plate of nachos. Then waited 40 mins for desserts to arrive; 2 brownies & an ice cream...sundae. No staff approached at any point & the table was not cleared of main course plates during that time After 25 mins I asked where the desserts were and was told they were on their way, but they still took another 15 mins to arrive. Was just about to cancel when they arrived, as we were running late for the cinema by that time. We had to rush to eat them & run! Very disappointed, doubt we'll go there again.More
