Lovely south Indian Dosa food. Not too spicy (if you pick out the red chillies, that is!) and great value for lunch at less than £20 for 2 people. It's popular with the Indians living locally too, which is always a good indicator of quality.

I went here with 2 work friends. It was a little different but nice for a change. The staff were friendly & food very good/tasty.I would go back again if in the area.
We had a great meal here, we were not rushed, staff were great. Food was different from your normal Indian but we loved trying something new, everyone enjoyed what they chose, would definitely visit again
Excellent, authentic South Indian (Kerala) food, very good service, and a relaxed, comfortable ambiance. Good choice of vegetarian food (I'm vegetarian, by the way) too!
I have been to Kayal many times and their food and service never fails to disappoint. They have meat, fish and vegetable curries, as well as a cracking biryani. I recently tried the Fish curry which was amazing. The curries aren't the typical ones you would order from an Indian restaurant. They're very authentic and unique.
Overall- great food with...

I first went to Kayal in Leicester and then discovered that there is also one in Leamington, so took my fiance, who loves curry, there.
It's really great for something different - don't be expecting to go in and recognise much off the menu. It's all very authentic southern Indian dishes, which are tasty and well spiced without being crazy...

We were in Kayal for lunch and looking some south Indian authentic fish curry and not disappointed. Lovely food, good set up and up-to the mark service. I found bit expensive but was worth.
On a two day break to Leamington Spa I happened upon Kayal Restaurant in Regent Street. We were lucky - it was very busy but they managed to seat us without a reservation. The menu is beautifully set out and explains all of the dishes which hail from the Kerala region of Southern India accurately and intelligently. For starters my...

I have visited Kerala and eaten there at some very good restaurants. Kayal matches the subtlety and variety of this cuisine very authentically. The service here is also very good - they are only concerned for their "guests" enjoyment, not selling. We had the snacks as a starter, which was varied and tasty. Mains were all good - fish, meat...

Lovely food, friendly and professional staff, a real treat. Be warned the starters can be v. large but tasty and the fish stew mains are particularly good. I have never been disappointed by a special either! A real treat.
