We visited the restaurant on Saturday night, and where we had a very enjoyable meal - the best Indian meal for a long time. We were welcomed into the restaurant, and the waiter immediately apologised for the noise from a large group in the bar who were talking loudly - but hey this was a Saturday night and the group... Well above average Indian cuisine. Menu ranges far beyond the "standards". "Home made" panneer starter was authentically good, tasty and well spiced. Bengan Bhartha was also excellent. I prefer vegetarian optons, and was spoiled for choice. And the standard of service was excellent. Responsive, helpful and cheerful. Faultless really. More

Went out with work colleagues ( about 18) to celebrate a 50th birthday and booked a long table upstairs, with a buffet type menu of various dishes. I expected to have to help ourselves from what was laid out on hot plates, but we had waiter service which started with huge poppadums and pickles, then starters of wonderful onion bargees,... More

Indian food is my favourite cuisine and I would opt for it above any other food every time. I eat out infrequently but I do know the difference between very good and average. Pretty much every other Indian restaurant serves average food for an average price and are completely over-rated. Then you have lots that serve very average food at... More

Heard about how good the food was. So when visiting family in peterborough we made a group booking of 12 people. Our booking was late into the evening and when we got there we were shown to our table. To my surprise we were given cocktail menus.......red rag to a bull !! It was pretty late by the time we... I reviewed the Banyan Tree's Westgate restaurant a while ago but thought it deserved another mention as we've been back several times since. Since my earlier review I've discovered their Sunday Thali, a big selection plate of several set dishes (you choose the meat/veg you want in the main curry). Staff are really friendly and helped to explain the different... More

A group of 10 had booked on a Saturday evening. On arrival, we were taken to our table and offered drinks that were served promptly and in excellent fashion by a European waiteress. For the meal we requested the head waiter to organise a set meal for us around the £20 per person mark. For that we were given sizeable... More

This is one of the best authentic Indian restaurants in Peterborough. The food is delicious, modern and original and nothing like the usual generic fare you will be served up in the majority of the other ''Indian'' restaurants. Dont expect to see any frozen diced veg in your veg curry or day-glo orange tikka massalas here, although TM might be on... More

lets be honest - Peterborough is a grim place at best, so to have a gem of a restaurant like this in the centre is not only a suprise but the only restaurant worth visiting in peterborough. The menu is a bit big but it covers everyones taste and i dont understand why some reviews have said its a bit... More

The food was good, only let down by the middle of one of the samosas being cold / frozen, but certainly best indian cusine in Peterborough. We had a bad experience with the service, all I will say is make sure you count out your money in front of the manager if you are a large group. Some of our... More
