I have always loved The Pantry and the smell of the homemade buns in the small front shop. Their food is fresh and tasty and I do not mind paying the prices once I get what you expect for the price.

The visitors center recommended this very good cafe and bakery. They had a wide variety of baked goods, pastries, scones, muffins, as well as cooked food--meat loaf, sauage pastries, soups, etc. The setting was simple, but friendly--you could also eat outside in front on this nice pedestrian street in Kilkenny.
