Excellent flavors, quaint atmosphere. I had the vegetarian entree-artichoke that was battered and fried with a sauce and a medley of green veggies- asparagus with peas. All delicious!

Have yet to be anything but entirely impressed with Kai - have brought an eclectic group of friends and family here over the past two years and the feedback has always been more than positive. Wholesome, varied menu (the feta and spinach filo pastry being a personal favourite), consistently friendly staff and a fantastic building makes it my Galway favourite.... More

Headed by a female chef from New Zealand, the food at Kai is one of the best and most creative fusion restaurant I've ever been. The food not only has big and balanced flavours, but also beautifully dressed or decorated. The Chocolate and Mongo cake I had had interesting texture (the mongo mouse) and great exotic flavours. The 42 below... More

This is one of the mostg popular Restaurant and Chef in Galway and the West of Ireland, we went for lunch with my girlfriend and her mother, got a nice smoked salmon salad, a spinach and feta tart and a green asparagus salad. The only downturn for us was a luck of atmosphere, and too little choice on the menu.... More

Very busy Saturday lunch time, we had to wait for about 10 mins for a table for 6, not a problem and worth it. Had a super lunch with friends, all ordered a different dish so that we could taste everything. Having been there before one of the group ordered some bread while we were waiting for our order to... My daughter is studying in Galway and brought us here. OMG!! The food was fabulous!! Farm to table delicious. We had a starter of grilled sheeps cheese on a bed of mixed greens, baby radishes, and other goodies. The menu said what farm and area it came from. I guess they raise special sheep in that area which makes a... More

I had lunch last Saturday (May 4th ) with my brother, sister and brother-in law and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the cooking and, of course, the wonderful company. As a vegetarian I find it difficult to get creative meals that are nutritious as well as delicious. Many places are lazy and tend to offer pasta to vegetarians, often without protein... More

It's great to see a restaurant in Galway with so much unique character. The dinner I had was excellent and I'd definitely return. I've heard a few comments at work of people claiming it's pretentious, but i can say that wasn't my experience at all. I'm long overdue for a trip back.

Fresh local food, fresh ideas. Pricey especially for lunch. But dinner is a must try. Desserts were very creative with the chef coming up with his own homemade version of popular shop bought ice creams from the Brunch to the Feast!! Delicious.
