This place is a real must for cheese lovers! What a variety, go and try it! On a Saturdays there's a great atmosphere with people coming to the market!
We went here and got some local cheese (Wicklow Brie and Galway goats cheese) plus a selection of olives from sheridans. The ladies there are lovely and let us taste the cheeses before we decided what to get, so many interesting choices! We took our picnic to the Cliffs of Moher, was fantastic!
A friend told me about this hidden wine bar. I was looking for something different then the Pub and Coffee shop to pass some time in the afternoon. Thanks to Trip Advisor App I found it no problem. Up the side stairs and into a room that has a real feel of Italian decor. The lady behind the counter /... More
Sheridans is the real deal. As soon as you walk in, you know that this is a place that knows cheese. The variety is wonderful, and they gladly let you sample whatever interests you. We bought some salami, cheese, bread, mustard, and a few other things, and had a "room picnic" at our b&b. There is a Sheridans in Dublin... More
Went in to get some beautiful cheese to have with family while staying in Galway. Bought some fabulous Gorgonzola with the perfect cracker accompaniment suggested by the staff of Sheridans. I'm kicking myself I didn't see the upstairs part. Will definitely stop here on my next visit.
What can I say? Gorgeous wine, best cheese from all Europe, a feast for the palate, a lovely venue for a glass wine and a platter of cured meat and cheese upstairs, the real smell of an italian salumeria or a french charcuterie downstairs... When I'm sad I pop in, breathe and feel better :D And the owner is a... More
What a find, for the cheesaholic this is an ideal place to visit. We bought cheeses from the deli for an evening with friends, tasting Ireland's finest specialist cheeses washed down with a fine italian wine recommended but the Sheridan's wine merchant upstairs. Everyone enjoyed them and nothing was left over. We thought it was so god we went back... More
Went to the wine bar above the cheesemongers as we wanted to try some of the produce. We weren't disappointed! Colin served us and he was extremely helpful and friendly. His knowledge of the items on the meat and cheese board was exceptional, and he was very generous. Great little spot tucked away off the main drag. Will definitely go... More
This is one of those places you can kick back and share a bottle of wine with a friend and have a cheeseboard. They appeared to have quality bottles at every pricepoint. Make sure you know what you want because there was a number of poor wines they offer as well as some amazing ones. We went with a barolo... More
