I love this place - The food is always amazing, no matter what I order. And I love sitting down stairs, with the exposed stonework and the candles; its just so romantic. Its the perfect restaurant for a date. I absolutely love it! More

This was my fourth and final visit to the Port House in Dundrum. While the food is certainly different and very tasty, the service is just bad. Ordering food is an ordeal in itself. I'm all for new technology, but when the waiter using his iphone, or whatever it was, can't get the order first time (every time) as he... More

Beautiful candle-lit place, romantic setting with great food and well-priced too. Personal thanks to the Irish waitress who - upon hearing it was our first time in Dublin - went out of her way to note down some recommended bars with directions to continue our evening. Great food and great service. Would certainly return. More

Place was busy, and deserved to be.Food was excellent, tasty, plenty of it and the stafff very helpful and what to order. Best advice is to npick a... More

The Port House is a fantastic place for an atmospheric meal. I absolutely love the fact that this restaurant is pretty much lit by candle light it reallys adds to your whole experience here. We arrived with no booking and had to wait 30 minutes, which isn't the end of the world, we enjoyed a glass of wine and some... More

The Port House is full of atmosphere. Walking down the stairs into the restaurant you will be stuck by the notion that you were glad you booked a table. It would be an agonising wait if you arrived on spec only to be told that a table could be ready in 30 minutes - those 30 minutes would be torture,... More

We ate in the one in Dundrum last night. Very very good. We ordered 8 dishes between the 4 of us and shared everything. Every dish was devoured. Really tasty stuff. The Wine was fantastic too. The actual restaurant is small and a tad cramped but after a while you realise that this adds to the whole experience. We will... More

Really like this place, it's good value and the tapas portions are a good size. Lots of options for every preference from cured meats, chicken, fish to vegetarian. Wine is lovely two and good value compared to other restaurants. Quiet dark as mainly candle lit, definitely worth a visit. More
