Located in Temple Bar it's quite convenient while sight-seeing. The food was delicious and reasonable and the service was very good. It is, however, quite small and filled up moments after we arrived so you may have to plan on waiting some time.

If I hadn't seen the reviews on Yelp I would have never eaten here. It's right in the middle of the Temple Bar area (the biggest tourist trap in Dublin) but I think I would have been hard-pressed to find a better Irish restaurant if I tried.
I can image this place gets really busy and we were lucky to...

Great food with huge (too big, actually) portions. Even though you sit almost elbow to elbow with your neighboring diners, this is a good place. My husband had bangers and mash and I enjoyed the corned beef and cabbage. We chatted with our neighbors and had a great time. A bonus for the evening was that our waiter talked like...

My wife and I dined here on a recent trip to Dublin. We had to wait an hour for a table but it was worth the wait. Temple Bar is a great area in which to kill time. We had the chicken and steak boxties which were equally tasty. Sort of like French creeps on steroids. Staff was friendly and...

While it's not a tradition that conquered the world, it is certainly worth tasting the Dublin Coddle, fresh seafood, and especially the boxty, a potato pancake originally from Northern Ireland. If you are from Dublin and...

We have visited several times. The food is always good, not expensive and the staff are wonderful. On this last visit, when I asked where I could buy an Ipad wire as I had forgotten mine, the waiter offered to charge it in his flat over the road: what a star!

We looked at lots of restaurants in Templebar before choosing the Boxty House for our lunch. The lunch menu is slightly cheaper than the full menu and the portions are smaller. I chose the Irish stew and my partner chose steak sandwich with chunky chips. The food was nice and the atmosphere was good . I would recommend this restaurant.

This was an amazing meal and a great way to start our trip! We had the three course meal, which was a great value. The chicken boxty dinner was amazing. The portions were huge and our waiter was so nice and helpful. He didn't just try to rush us in and out of the restaurant like so many place do...
