Simply don't know where the recent negative posts about Mayfield/Union Square's staff are coming from. I have been going there since it opened, and the two owners (Kevin & Kevin) have become friends. I have never seen either behave with anything other than kindness and calm professionalism - and I'm there three or four times a week! Their staff -... More

More suitable for lunch or coffee but avoid for night out. Very limited menu. Mackerel pate tasted of vinegar as did the organic wine! Staff unsure of specials and had to double check everything including to check if something was still on the menu. Cafe was cold in the evening - needed to put my jacket back on. Would not... More

The Mayfield is a middle of the road coffee shop deli, bistro, which has recently extended its premises. The food is strictly ordinary which leads me to question exactly who has been posting the reviews which have given it a tripadvisor rating of the 2nd best restaurant in Dublin! This place is a surburban deli, it is a €10-€15 taxi... More

This place is cool, great menu not too complicated but lots of interesting things, price is great! vintage + retro interior , staff great, owner is a chef and there building an art gallery attached, this could be a winner! More

Been in twice recently. First time had the breakfast pie which was absolutely delicious. 2nd time had potato & leak soup + Caesar salad, the Caesar salad was delicious. Really nice sandwhiches as well. Didn't try any of the desserts but they looked good too. More

I am a devout coffee lover and am happy to say that the excellent coffee that was always available in Mayfield is now to be enjoyed in the Union Square sister restaurant. It is frothy, flavoursome and feisty! The quirky and eclectic decor here adds to the enjoyment of the experience as do the friendly and welcoming staff. More

I have only recently heard of Mayfield, so I went to check it out for brunch. The staff were efficient and friendly and their French toast was some of the tastiest I have had. I believe they have acquired a new space now and are offering a new 'Union Square' menu, so I will have to check that out too!... More
