I really enjoyed the seafood tagliatella (basically fettuccine alfredo with sizeable shrimp and pieces of salmon). Also found Bulmer's cider here. Lighter alternative the whiskey I drank the rest of the time. Our only trouble was getting the check, an issue we ran into throughout Ireland. After giving attentive service throughout the meal, several servers just disappeared before we could... More

I was with a friend and it was a late Saturday night that was unusually quiet so we thought we'd get served in there pretty quickly. We sat outside and it was 15 minutes before anyone came out to serve us, so one of us went in to ask for service. When a waiter came out, we ordered a plate... More

had a party here and the management/staff were completely disorganised and unprofessional. It was disgraceful. I would never again recommend this place to anybody. For a paying customer I would expect to be treated with respect and interest and neitheir of these were in any way paid attention to. More

Service is extremely slow. Waiter was most unfriendly and seemed to hate his job. His apron was filthy!! Food was fair but wouldn't go back there again. More

I have been here many times, each time I have enjoyed the food, each time I have NOT enjoyed the staff. There are 2 or 3 staff who are slightly friendly and just do their job, the rest of them just seem to spend chatting at the counter where the food is collected and most of the time, you have... More

Visited this restaurant for lunch on Christmas Eve. It was busy but not overly so. After selecting our order from a very limited menu we had to wait up to 45 minutes to be served and this was after we had complained about the delay in filling our order. When it did arrive the food was of a very poor... More

Me and my boyfriend had both come in here a few times after work for a bite to eat and was always shocked at the service and sometimes the food. So we decided to go in on a Sunday afternoon for our Sunday lunch. There was a menu offering 2 courses for 15.90E or 3 courses for 19.90E, which I... More

We ate here 3 nights running and each time we had very good meals. The staff were friendly and attentive. Each time we were there the Newport was busy. More
