This is a lovely little restaurant. The fixed price menu is very good value, the food is excellent. If visiting Cork, make sure you book in advance if you want to eat here. More

We decided to venture out on a whim and having passed by the door of Les Gourmandises many times we were tempted by the menu so in we popped. I was a little put off at the start by the overly officious nature of the staff (we had no booking) we were told that we could of course have a... More

Les Gourmandises is definetly an excellent restaurant and to be considered a jewel in Cork. The interior of the property is warm and cozy. The reception is pefect and during your stay the staffmembers take good care of you. You get value for money. The dishes are well prepared and there is attention for the presentation on the plates. Since the closure of Augustines, Les Gourmandises is probably the best dining experience in Cork. Contrary to other reviews I have always found the service unhurried & curteous. From the moment you enter, have coats taken, peruse the menu over a glass of Kir, taken to your table at reasonable leisure it sets the evening up well. The food is... More

Completelty rude, dismissive and obnoxious staff, despite making a reservation staff from maitre di to waiter were very poor, i was expecting 'fine dining' as advertised however this was far from accurate advertising, i have an incline to report them for false advertising. Very disappointed and no positive feeedback to give, its such a pity when the menu advertised was... More

We went there in April 2012 as a group of 7 on a business night out. The service was good, the atmosphere was only okay but we made up for it ourselves as we had a large group. I founbd the food to be a little pretentious e.g. I ordered the monkfish and was surprised that it was served in... More

overall good experience. The food was lovel: French and a bit of Irish influenc, but with Irish products. The portions are little but very filling ( little portions in lovely ramekins and glasses). The wine was fantastic (the French wines are at 30-40 euro a bottle thou). The atmosphere could be better: more pictures or colour on the wall (painted... More
