Dined here on Tuesday 29th May with my girlfriend. I ordered the Tower Burger which is a double 8oz sirloin burger with all the trimmings including 3 onion rings and Rebecca had the steak sandwich. The burgers were just amazing with a lovely char taste from the charcoal as well as crispy large onion rings, bacon, cheddar cheese and a tangy salsa.... More

I go in there regularly for food. Food ok but coffee used to be €2 with a biscuit now it's €2.40 without biscuits or refill. Used to have wifi no longer free wifi. It's the small things that get people to come back. Some staff ok others fairly indifferent.

My wife and I used a Foffit voucher and I had starter/main course while my wife had main course/dessert. The fish cake starter was very tasty with a very light crispy batter rather than the heavier jacket type batter that I was more used to. The accompanying salad was standard and the tartare sauce on the side was flavoursome. My... More

A group of four of us visited on a Tuesday evening in November. the staff were efficient and served us well. The bar has been refurbished and the lighting level is too low. It makes the place look dark and tired. There was no atmosphere and we left early. Tuesday is a quiet nigth and we were there to have... More

Tried soup and liked it so much, that I ordered it for myself, by the time we finished we all had soup it tasted that good. Sandwiches had great... More

Went to the Briar Rose just before New Year's with my wife and 2 kids for a quick bite and we had a very pleasant meal. The dining area beside the bar is quite and comfortable. Service was brisk but not overbearing. Menu was quite extensive. The food was very good, I had a tasty creamy pasta dish, my children... More

Enjoyed a Foffit voucher meal here today and must say it was just perfect! Starters were garlic mushrooms and garlic bread with pesto, mains were sirloin steaks, cooked to perfection(well done),with pepper sauce served on the side, with baked tomatoe and a lovely green salad with a decent portion of chips on the side. Just perfect. Desserts were profiterolles with cream and chocolate... More
