First time here and was a surprise for my boyfriend for his birthday. Fabulous dining experience. Warm, welcoming and friendly staff. Service impeccable! Food unforgettable! Cant wait to return as don't know anywhere else at the moment that could match this dining experience. Perfection!

Why no Michelin star for this gem of a restaurant in blacklion? The food was beautifully executed using the best locally sourced ingredients. It was at least as good as Chapter One or l'ecrivain. We had the tasting menu with wine parings. Every course was even prettier and tastier than the last. As for breakfast the next day. I had... More

Just spend a wonderful evening and overnight stay in this excellent establishment. Went to celebrate my 59th birthday. From the moment you arrive to the time you leave you are treated like the only guests staying. On arrival in the bar for a pre dinner drink the barman was chatty and engaging. We were then joined by Nevan Maguire who... More

We went here for the weekend before Valentine's. I had read here the rooms weren't that great but our room was stunning (we had a deluxe room at the top of the house - beautifully decorated). The cookbook to take home was also a nice touch. The staff were so nice from the moment we checked in. We came down... More

I have been promising to visit McNean Bistro for a while, so when I received a valentine gift from my Partner I had to go. I attended last night 02/03/2012 9pm last sitting, and from the minute we arrived till we went it was a 5* dining experience. We both went for the prestige menu 87 euro's with their 9... More

We were there to celebrate my Mam's birthday who is a huge Neven Maguire fan. The front of house staff are outstanding, and our waitress Sarah made a 'little fuss' of my Mam at the end of the meal which was very much appreciated. In fact I think it was the service received from Sarah that made our night, she... More

Dinner at McNean Bistro and overnight accommodation in McNean Guest House was my gift to my partner for Christmas. He had read about him in the Farming Weekly and commented that he'd like to go some time. From the minute we arrived on Saturday evening to the moment we left on Sunday morning, our experience was fantastic. We were given... More
