Description: The Druie takes its name from the burn(river) that rushes behind the restaurant and always seems in a hurry to carry clear, sparkling mountain water from the Cairngorms to the River Spey. We are open daily 9.30am - 5.00pm for locally roasted coffee, locally sourced tasty lunches, leaf teas and delicious homemade cakes, with a focus on dishes prepared from lovingly home produced beef from our pedigree herd of Highland cattle, our velvety venison from the ancient forest of Rothiemurchus and seasonal produce from specialist producers, served in a relaxed, friendly environment. Whilst enjoying your coffee or lunch at the Druie, you can enjoy the exhibition of local artwork which changes each month, especially selected by Ellie, who manages the Gallery at Loch an Eilein and is also a member of Creative Cairngorms.

Visited during a short break with my husband. Coffee was delicious, one of the nicest I've had. Staff were friendly. Food was good but not as good as we'd expected. I had the bruschetta, which was more like a greek salad on a split roll, it was tasty though. My husband was a bit disappointed with his beef sandwich, he... More

We had lunch after our excursion to TreeZone, and before hiking around Loch an Eileen. Had lovely sweet potato soup, sandwiches and Roast Beef. Everyone was pleased and full! What others say is true...the coffee is very good! We love that although you're in a National Park, there are great shops and places to eat and drink as with The... More

We visited here after quad biking and were left very disapointed! We were left standing at thd door entrance for over 5 minutes before a staff member grunted something at us whilst walking past. There were spare tables but as there was a sign instructing you to wait to be seated, we waited .....and waited. After another few minutes we... More

We visited Rothimerchus for a week with our Army Cadets and spent 5 days mountain biking. This place is so good that we decided to include it on our route every day. The coffee is to die for, (as is the hot chocolate) and the cakes are amazing. The prices are really good and the service is incredibly friendly, particularly... More

This is a great little Cafe and I only wished it was open later. I would like to suggest 18:30 but they must have their reasons. The food is excellent, especially the burgers "man, what a feast". I'm going back in August staying at the Old Minsters which is next door to the Druie so I know where I'll be eating... More

Attractive lay out, nice staff and most importantly excellent food. The Cullen Skink (fish soup) was particularly fine.

i wasn't sure if I'd like Pea & Mint with Coriander Soup so the waitress very kindly brought us a sample in a cup. It wasn't to my taste but my husband ordered it while I had Cullen Skink with soda bread. We both thoroughly enjoyed what we'd ordered. Staff at The Druie are always friendly and welcoming, no matter... More

I had coffee which was good and my wife had wine which was good too. When we ordered the waitress was unsure if they served wine despite it being on the menu. It was a clean, friendly and welcoming cafe.

Firstly, Spent ages browsing in the lovely wee shop - picked up a few things I didn't need. Then a quick bite for lunch turned into a couple of hours. We both had the home made soup with a cheese scone - not something I had ever thought of having but it was delicious. Then coffee and just enough room... More

We had a great roast beef lunch, with all the trimmings, even though we arrived at nearly 2pm. It was a really generous plateful of tender and tasty beef. All for £10. Couldn't fault it. The staff were friendly and welcoming - taking care to explain the "specials" menu. We didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive.... More
