What can I say... This is a small restaurant that does do reservations (but does take out for collection) that has consistently provided good service and very good food over 15+ visits. Small plates (tapas style) or large plates if you want it. Recommendation for two people is to order 5 tapas portion dishes...if you are still hungry then order... More

Found this place accidentally as a shelter from rain and it was a pleasant discovery of a day, Located in front of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and therefore suggest a nice window view. Staff is really friendly and helpful with additional requests. As for cuisine - it's really really good and prices are rather low for restaurants in central areas of... More

Serving tapas sized servings of both typical Indian favourites and house specials, these freshly made tasters hit the spot. 3 mains between two is more than enough, and would recommend both the butter chicken, and the melt in your mouth Lamb karahi...starters are around £4 ish, mains around £6. Staff are friendly but beware it's busy all the time and... More

This restaurant never disappoints: Quality ingredients, great curries, good atmosphere. The menu is minimalist but the kitchen will cook individual choices not on on the main menu. Best Vegetable Pakora around!

Heard many great things about the food at Mother India so decided it was time to give it a go. My wife and I enjoy our food and like a nice vibrant atmosphere. This place did not disappoint. Fresh food cooked with excellent sauces and spices and a 1st class service. We were super impressed. Everyone of the staff were... More

Went for a late lunch and had the Tuesday special which was a vegetarian thali This included two tapas style curries which came with a choice of rice or chapatis, salad and raita. The food was first class and the service excellent, not rushed but not slow either. Will definitely return.

Never had tapas style curry before so that was a nice surprise, now I've tried I can't understand why no other places do it, brilliant idea! If you... More

Lovely visit to Mother India's Cafe. Good service, excellent food, a bit different, nice wine - perfect, what more would you want!? Good location 2, not too 'central' but not too far out either. Couldn't fault it. Yes, a bit small but adds to the appeal.

This is a fantastic place to eat. It can be very busy so make sure you arrive at a good time or be prepared to wait. I have eaten here a few times and also take the kids. They thoroughly enjoy it too. It is small and can feel a little squashed but it is a busy place and to... More
