Three of us dined here on April 18th (we had heard so many great comments regarding it) and i can say we were not disappointed. The service, the ambience and the food are all very important when it comes to dining out. The Black Sheep has it all. The food is to die for and the portions are huge. Great... More

Wow, what a great place! Excellent food, a friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere (meant in the best way). I really enjoyed the Bistro! I started with a goat cheese and onion tart, which was nice. I had the fish and chips (yes, simple), but it was perfectly done. Dessert was vanilla ice cream with toffee sponge mixed in, and... More

Visited here in a party of 6 plus a very crabbit toddler, who staff were very patient and kind with, thank you for that! The food was lovely, not overly huge portions of food, just nice stuff, and good home cooking. Minor criticisms - the one steak was asked for 'rare' but was not, and the roast beef dinners were... We found this place on tripadvisor and I'm glad we did. Best place I've ever been to eat out food for value wise! And let's face it that's what its all about. I had scallops, chicken&Haggis with whiskey sauce and my partner had stuffed mushrooms, pouched haddock! Absolutely superb!! Only down fall was I had no room for dessert...so I took... More

I thought I would read some reviews about this place before I put one on, suprisingly I noticed some poor ones and couldn't understand this as when we were there it was the best food I've ever had out!! I'd love to say ever but my mum would be upset. It had bursting flavour the portions were incredible, presentation was... More

We used Trip Advisor to choose the Bistro and it certainly lived up to its ratings. The food was outstandingly good and very reasonably priced. I particularly liked the scallops and black pudding but the mains were equally tasty. Helpings were generous too. The service was really friendly and attentive. Would certainly go again if we were in Glasgow.

Using trip advisor the Black Sheep was the choice for a family meal. A small clean bistro with a nice atmosphere music in the background but not loud. A very friendly greeting on arrival from the staff who throughout the meal made you feel welcome. Bottles of tap water on the table always for me a nice touch. There was... More
