It's a good Cafe, but to be currently in the Glasgow top-10 restaurants is a bit over the top!! Had 2 perfectly reasonable 'Full Breakfasts', coffee and juice. Oddly only Poached or Scrambled eggs were the choice, and no Sausage. Friendly service, all perfectly pleasant. As I've said, its a cafe. Maybe we need a seperate Cafe section...

I eat here at least a couple of times a week and love the food and atmosphere. Breakfast, lunch and now dinner can all be had here. The soup and sandwiches are great, I usually have the soup which is always good, and either a burger or a copenhagen sandwich (but get them to melt the cheese) and sometime both.... More

Nice place inside, I'm a chunky 6 footer so I found the seat/ table combo a bit too small, but the missus was fine. Found the waiter/ owner a bit over friendly and patronising, again the missus liked him so probably just me. Food was ok, missus had a steak I had bouillabaisse. A wee bit laking in flavour and... We had a lovely experience at trans Europe cafe .. We only went due to trip adviser ..and we weren't disappointed.. We went with our 3 children and staff couldn't have been more friendly and Accommodating for us . Our 6 year Old said the chicken gougons and chips ( all home made ) were the best she ever tasted... Just back from enjoying a tasty omelette at the Trans-Europe Café. It has an easy, friendly atmosphere and the service is fast & efficient. I was enjoying a cheeky solo-breakfast, so tucked myself in the corner, grabbed one of the complimentary newspapers and waited for the food. It was worth the wait – best omelette I’ve had whilst dining out.... More

Went here for Brunch on a Sunday and have to say the tasteful and comfortable decor aside the food is amazing and cheap. I had the eggs benedict and having tried them on 7 other occasions in various establishments these were by far the best. My friend had their spanish omelette which tasted fresh wonderfully cooked and healthy which is... More

We went for a late breakfast last Sunday, and are please to report that the good reviews on the site are not ‘made up’, it really is that good. I had eggs Benedict, a difficult dish to do well, and it was excellent, the eggs poached to perfection. My wife had a full breakfast, and again cooked to perfection. The... More

Had gone to the Trans-Europe cafe on the basis of good reviews - but left feeling somewhat underwhelmed. The overpowering smell that hits you when you enter wouldn't feel out of place in a greasy spoon. That quibble aside, though, the lunch we had was nothing out of the ordinary and the coffee...well, if you like it bitter, you may... More

A regular brunch visitor to the Tran-Europe Cafe, it is so lovely to read the glowing reviews about the food, the ambiance, the sterling soundtracks and the man himself. Tony and his team make the Trans-Euope an addictive wee nook that has you coming back time and again. Genuine service, tasty food, great chat, lots of laughs and good value... More
