Not your average Chinese restaurant, and thank goodness for that. Dumplings, potato straws, sichuan wings, garlic green beans, glass noodle salad (amongst many other dishes!) then DIY toffee apples for pud. Very different, extremely tasty. Friendly service and tap water provided without asking - staff were happy to pull two chairs up for friends who spotted us through the window... More

This little Chinese dumpling and noodle house, and its sister in Leith, are truly superb. The set menu is well worth the money and they keep filling your plate! I will keep going back here time and time again. I wish they did deliveries!!

I am not a huge fan of Chinese food, but I do love this place! The decor is awful, but the food and service are great! My husband and I usually have the banquet for two, which has a good selection of their best meals and you can reorder your favorite dishes more than once! Lovely dumplings and great chicken... More

I was at a conference and went to eat there with a group of colleagues. We ordered the group banquet. It was fantastic. Every bite I took was a discovery of exciting and fascinating new tastes (with each bite a different taste). Two days later I went again. As a solo person I could not have the banquet but when... Very no frills, food lovely and good for a group - I really enjoyed our meal but haven't rushed back and I think that says it all. WOuld go again, but only as part of a large group.

Always a great fan of dumplings and I was dissapointed some weren't available. They have a good reputation and I find their loyaty scheme a real treat. I have been to better Chinese when I taste their food, but you cannot beat their variety of dumplings. - Good for parties, friends, family and couples alike.

Chop chop is a great restaurant at a great price. Located close to the customs house and opposite what used to be known as the  Scottish Office. This is a great little Chinese restaurant in the heart of the Leith restaurant district. The food and the service were excellent, very attentive staff and the food was delicious. An unusual menu,...
