Like everything on the Royal Mile, this was pretty pricey! Our food was good, but paying £9 for a chicken sandwich and £2 for a half can of Coke was not the best.

We decided to stop in for lunch while touring the Royal Mile. This is a small cafe but we found the food to be delicious and the staff very nice. We recommend the fish & chips as well as the chicken pie. They offer a nice selection of local whisky, too, if you're looking to sample. Would definitely go back!
Quite small, but nice cozy setting on the Royal Mile. Helpful, friendly staff member took our order promptly. Food arrived in a timely manner. Steak ciabatta and club sandwich were very tasty, warm and filling. Killer banoffee pie!
My wife and I called in here for a coffee during a recent trip to Edinburgh. While I can't complain about the coffee or the cake we had with it - the staff were offhand and surly, the toilets abysmal and the £5.95 per piece of avarage carrot cake sheer robbery AND they had the nerve to add a service...

A great find on the Royal Mile. Don't pass this one by!
Claims to be Scottish but none of the staff are local. The food was cheaply made and not well cooked. When we sent back an undercooked fish we were told that we were wrong. Bad overall don't be fooled by the good location.
