If there is one bar you want to visit with great food and freindly staff its the Orchard near the botanic gardens.We really enjoyed this place and the deco,food & ambience was great.

This is one of Edinburgh's great bars. The staff are so friendly and always welcoming. The food is far above bar food standard and the whole place retains the character of a traditional Edinburgh bar.

Nice bar,tastefullydecorating,with good choice of menu. can either have substantial meal or light sandwich. we had homemade soup and sandwich which was delicious and filling. reasonable priced-worth a visit.
