Had high tea with group of friends. Very yuppie place and to me a real rip off Two small finger sandwiches, scone and 4 cakes for £16 Who wants to eat four cakes. Would have preferred two more sandwiches or sausage roll but assume that not fit in with the yuppie image Artificial flowers in the bar area were so out... More

We ate breakfast several days at Tiger Lilly on busy George Street because we just had to keep going back for more. We had lunch here as we were staying in the hotel. The restaurant is lovely, although I don’t know what it would be like at night as the bar all around it gets so packed. Service ordinary, verging on apologetic. Food totally underwhelming and background music far too loud. Less than impressed. You're in Edinburgh... go somewhere else.
