We called for lunch on wet Wednesday afternoon. The pubs mismatched furniture and uneven walls offer a charming experience. Had the lovely home made pork and apple burger with chips and coleslaw. You certainly get what you pay for. The quality of ingredients and generous ingredients mean I shall return soon. Pricier than standard pubs but definitely worth it

Called in for a late Saturday lunch and were not disappointed. Saw the Cod and Chips going out and my wife and I opted straight away for this and were not disappointed. The wait, due to the number of diners, well worth it for the presentation was excellent. The chips were served in 'a basket' resembling a chip fryer with... More

I took two colleagues out for an evening meal here back in December after experiencing a thoroughly enjoyable Jazz evening here a few months before. Pub has fab ambience, lovely decor and features, pleasant and friendly staff and one of the most interesting menu's of pubs in the area, food is very good just a bit too pricey, and I... More

Sunday nights might not be the next time to retry somewhere but we made this mistake. Having eaten here a number of years ago we had forgotten why we never ventured back. Generally it was okay. (Except hair in the food, both dishes) the meal was nice, service was sound and the environment was inoffensive. It was the hit on... More

Food a bit slow coming but worth waiting for. Service from bar staff very friendly. Menu and specials board gave a good range of choices but none 'cheap'.

Visited on Saturday for lunch. Great menu with plenty of choice. We chose fish & chips. The food was served in a metal basket & looked really like some effort had gone into it. The fish was beautiful.....only to be let down by awful frozen beefeater chips! At a cost of £11.25 each I'd have thought fresh chips would've been... More

This is a very pretty pub in a unique setting. Having walked on the dunes in the biting wind and snow we were more than ready for warming meal. The fire was lit in the bar, however the central heating was off and the rest of the pub was cold, so we sat at our table in our coats, hats... More

Ah, but you'll find it hard to get a table without arriving early and, as other reviewers have noted, the car park is a nightmare. Good area for us poor smokers; proper traditional decor; gut-busting portions. At weekends, you'll think this pricey but good quality food in a proper pub lunch atmosphere ... and close to a lovely walk to... More

I'm not the only one who is flabbergasted at the extortionate drinks prices. Should spend the profits on upgrading the toliets.

Great multi blackboard layout with lots of yummies.Granted the food is a bit pricey it is a country pub and off the beaten track. I think they call that selective and I agree with them. I paid over £10 for Gammon and chips with an egg, but it was huge ane not your normal supermarket rubbish, the taste was very... More
