Décor and atmosphere lovely. Outside area welcoming with fresh pots of pansies on all the tables. So sorry it was not quite warm enough to dine outside Varied choice on the menu without being overwhelmed. Quality of food good but a bit overpriced if paying the full price (we went on a voucher offer). Portions appear small but are ample.... More

I have just returned home having enjoyed a delicious well cooked meal. There was a great selection of dishes on both the early bird and a la carte menus. The staff were attentive but not in your face and the decor was lovely. Am looking forward to my next visit already.

My wife and I visited this restaurant yesterday for the first time - the food was first class and the service of a similar level. dispite the fact that my wife and i are VERY light eaters 9we tend to order one meal between us and share) it was no problem for the staff who offered a second plate with... Quality of food was good and well-presented but significantly overpriced, especially for an out-of-town bistro. And the portion sizes were uneven - sauteed veal was apparently excellent, but duck breast on a small portion of celeria puree was very disappointing at the price (a few cubes of beetroot for decoration but no 'veggies' as such). Wine (Argentinian red) VERY 'ordinaire'.... More

Live locally and haven't visited here for a few months. Really disappointed with quality of food. Extremely bland and far too expensive for what you get. Wont be going back for a long time.

I went to the Brasserie with my boyfriend to celebrate a special occasion and we were thoroughly impressed. We shared the salt & pepper squid as a starter, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned, not rubbery at all. For the main, I had the pan fried duck breast which was absolutely delicious, and a perfect combination with the celeriac, beetroot... More

We went for Sunday lunch on Mother's Day. Not surprisingly the restaurant was busy. Ambience was not a problem for us. The service was good and the food excellent despite how busy it was. I would certainly recommend visiting this restaurant. One tip though don't take the table near the door on a cold day- the draught when it opened... More

My husband and I were very excited about our trip to this Brasserie. We booked it to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The evening began well and the menu, which I had already looked at online before hand, seemed inviting. As the evening became busier we felt that we were out of the loop. Clearly the restaurant has good regulars, however,... More

Dined here recently on a Wednesday evening as a friend’s birthday. Christian the MD greeted us enthusiastically and the ladies were provided with a complimentary Kir Royale. The wine selection is good value for money and the menu provides a sufficient choice. The starter of scallops with bacon, black pudding and cream suace was delightful I think the addition of... More

My wife and I made our first visit to this restaurant at 1.30pm on Sunday, February 22, 2013. We made a reservation on line although, upon arrival, found this was not necessary as there were only 2 other tables occupied. Although we were immediately shown to our table, it was some time before we were asked if we wanted drinks.... More
