I spent a lovely evening here in May 2013. I had an excellent meal - which was great vfm - and then relaxed for the rest of teh evening in a comfy chair reading. A great place to be.

What a wonderful friendly placxe! Good English non mucked about with food. Big comfy restaurant and a lovely quiet garden. Really enjoyed our second visit as much if not more than the first! Well done all John

Having read through the other comments, I find myself correcting the 'downward trend' of some of them. There was no 'mouthy' landlady. Nothing amazing but certainly nothing poor. 2 coffees and 2 hot beef sandwiches at a decent price. Food was above average. Recommended
