Description: The Priory Restaurant on the edge of historic Bath is an award-winning restaurant under the care of Executive Head Chef Michael Caines MBE, himself the owner of a pair of Michelin stars. The restaurant has recently won the third place in the Southwest in The Sunday Times' list of Britain's Top 100 restaurants, an award that is richly deserved. The Bath Priory Hotel & Spa is a luxurious hotel that combines the best of Bath city style with the space, landscaping and peace of a country house hotel. Inside, the restaurant is a light and elegant space with a warm ambience. The modern European menu under Head Chef Sam Moody is sophisticated and innovative with superb provenance of ingredients some are so local they come from the restaurant's own kitchen garden. And the wine list and sommelier at the Priory Restaurant are exemplary.

We visited The Bath Priory for an evening meal whilst in Bath for the weekend. The whole experience was delightful. We arrived 30 minutes early for canapés. We also treated ourselves to a glass of bubbly! After deciding on the taster menu we were taken to our table. We enjoyed every single course. The food is definitely Michelin standard, presented... I have been quite regularly to the Bath Priory for business lunches and romantic dinners and it actually works well for both. The food is exquisite - top quality food, perfectly presented with enough creativity without it being too much - make sure you leave room for coffee and petit fours afterwards - they are "to die for". The environment... More

We went for a meal at The Bath Priory for our second wedding anniversary. While the service and the food were undeniably excellent, the price for two courses (main and dessert) and a glass of house champagne each came to an eye-watering £165 (including tip). I see on the restaurant's website that you can get a three-course lunch deal (in... More

We stayed at The Bath Priory Hotel and used their resturant for one of our nights stay. We were asked to arrive 30mins before our reservation for canapes and pre dinner drinks, this was in the Drawing Room. We were given various menus together with the wine list. We ordered our drinks and were left to decide on our meal... More

Recently had lunch here with a friend. Good food. Watch out for the prices, though, they're London prices. This, combined with somewhat parochial service, makes for a poor combination. It might have been OK if they still had their Michelin star. Glad to have been there, but don't think they'll be seeing me again anytime soon. Positives: an incredible banana... More

We had a great getaway as a treat for my husband’s birthday. Everything from the arrival to the end of our stay was superb. The service was very attentive, the room was beautifully decorated, whole hotel was spotlessly clean. Our dinner was just exceptional and the selection of wines they have, we just could not agree on the same one,... More

We went for lunch and really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was of an excellent quality as was the wine. The menu was slightly less extensive for lunch than for dinner but it was considerably cheaper. We chose the 3 course set menu and were given various amuse-bouche's also. It is a little way out of town but it has... More
