We have visited this restaurant many times and never been disappointed. As you walk through the door you recieve a friendly welcome and are shown to a comfortable table. The menus are always interesting and we find it hard to choose what to order. However, the knowledgable staff are able to help here. They also have an excellent wine list.... More

Visited the restaurant recently; it was enjoyable with very well cooked fish of excellent quality. The downside the crab broth was underseasoned a little murky and difficult to swallow due to the amount of lemon grass bark in the mouth - but the crap balls were nice! Asparagus starter nice - less cream cheese and a little more pancetta would... More

Visited this restaurant with a French colleague in the UK on business. The restaurant is on a quiet road which links the Circus and Royal Crescent. Dining is available on two floors inside, and al fresco on the pavement outside. Simple, intimate layout - didn't feel crowded even as the restaurant filled up during the evening. We both had the... This is a great place to eat if you are visiting Bath. The staff are friendly and helpful, there is a relaxed atmosphere. The food is divine, try the rhubarb brulee it was was to die for. Also a lovely summery starter of asparagus, broad bean on a soft cheese base. It was a memorable meal, can't wait to return... More

Make no mistake! Tripadvisor gets its fair share of whiny people that think they know good food because they saw Jamie Oliver on TV once or with taste buds that have been killed off by too much junk food. If you want massive portions of additive laden, heavily medicated (antibiotics, tranquilisers etc.) meat and muddy, farmed fish - don't go... More

Thank you for your wonderful review! It is lovely to know that our regulars, of whom you must be one, appreciate what we are trying to do at The Circus and how hard we work to be consistent in both the standards of the food and service we offer. There are indeed lots of chain restaurants in Bath now and... More

On a recent trip to Bath we stopped at Circus Cafe & Restaurant for lunch without reservations. We found the restaurant warm and inviting and the staff very attentive. The menu changes monthly, so be sure to check the website for the current selections. Everything was delicious! We would definitely go back.

Thank you so very much for your positive comments about the Greek lamb. It is good to know that some people understand that it is the fat which gives the lamb its flavour and that is why shoulder is the most flavoursome of all the lamb cuts! More

My sister & I ate here last Saturday (5th May). Our first impressions were good - a warm & cosy environment & the prospect of a great meal. Our starters were lovely - fresh asparagas, broad bean & ricotta (the bread was offered to us half way through our starter which was a bit odd as would have been nice... More
