Description: Be transported to North Africa on entering Baths Caf du Globe, a restaurant known as the citys most relaxed. Although set within a building straight out of the pages of a novel by the towns most famous daughter, the interior of Caf du Globe would likely have had Miss Austen reaching for the salts a riot of colour and texture, this wonderful restaurant is full of the spirit of Morocco. Great attention to detail has gone in to every aspect of the Caf du Globe with not only the dcor evoking a different time and place, but the menu too. Indeed the Casablancan uses recipes handed down from his Fez born grandmother, using typically Moroccan ingredients.

We spent the weekend in Bath & our B&B recommended Cafe du Globe to us and we were not disappointed! Not being very experienced in Moroccan cuisine we ordered the cold Meze to start, followed by the hot Meze and some side dishes, however the proprietor, M Benjelloun, came over to our table to explain that we had actually doubled... We found this restaurant by chance last year and were so impressed that we vowed to visit again. Having a midweek day off we decided to travel from Southampton to Bath mainly to revisit this restaurant to see if it was as good as we remembered. We both choose off the set lunch menu and much to our delight it... More

I've eaten here twice now and both times have been excellent. The food was freshly prepared and tasty. The lamb tagine is not to be missed! The owner is clearly passionate about his food and the service has been spot on both times.

The food here is wonderfully tasty, with the subtle flavours of North Africa throughout all the dishes we ate. Another very nice point is that the service is not only efficient, but also very helpful. If you're not familiar with Moroccan cuisine, the staff are happy to help you out and explain the dishes. The only criticism I have is... More

Met by the owner and seated in the window to watch the world go by. Interior nice clean and attractive giving arab feel. Staff very pleasant and explained the menu. shared a mezze starter, overcooked and dry. We chose lamb tagine and confit of duck tagine for mains. Both obviously pre cooked as they need a long slow cook. Piping... More

Really enjoyed our early evening dinner at the Cafe du Globe. Food was good value and tasty. The Baklava in particular is not to be missed.

Decided to go to Cafe Du Globe last night as none of us had been and morroccan food is great! Having read most of reviews on it was happy to go! Some of the few bad reviews on here must have been to a different restaurant because the food was fantastic! Service wasn't perfect but at the same time they... More

We honeymooned in Marrakech and this is absolutely authentic, in every way. I had the couscous maison and my husband had lamb tagine. Both were delicious! They have some really delicious non-alcoholic cocktails too. You will not leave hungry. If you have room for baklavas after your meal, then they should not go un-sampled! Beautiful.
