I have spent many happy hours in Mrs B's drinking lovely tea and enjoying her lovely freshly cooked breakfasts. Scrambled eggs and oatmeal cooked with such attention to detail that I couldn't do as well at home. The perfect place to avoid all the chores I am meant to be doing as I am lost in time.

Bea's Vintage Tea Room on Saville Row, Bath is Number 1 for the authentic experience. It is a shame that more people do not go out of their way - a 5 minute walk from Bath central - to taste the home-made cakes and be served with the most delightful of staff. A good variety of tea and selection of... More

Completely traditional English tea room that would make your Nan proud! Lovely selection of loose leaf teas, cakes and snacks all served in cozy surroundings from traditional china ware by friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit if you want a taste of something English.

It was late in the afernoon and we were desperate for a cup of tea. We'd tried the Pump rooms but walked out having seen the prices for the scones (£6.25) and a local recommended these tearooms. My guests were charmed by this place as soon as we walked in - 40's music, very friendly waitresses (40's style), linen embroidered... More

We so much enjoyed the whole afternoon tea experience here from the authentic decor to the welcoming and attentive waitress to the refreshing tea and excellent baking. We felt it was very reasonably priced and would highly recommend. What a great find!

My hubby and i visited Bath for an overnight stay to see opening night of an Agatha Christie play. In keeping with the style of our visit we wanted to have traditional tea and scones so I did a bit of research to find the perfect place. I'm a bit of a vintage 1930/40's fan so when I stumbled across... More

Retro tea rooms reminiscent of Dad's Army set but with real food. Crockery and table linen matching the theme. Hand embroidered cloth reminded me powerfully of afternoon tea at my grandmother's. We had tea and cake - waitress was really sweet and choose particular pretty crockery for us and had knowledge advice about quirky teapot. Both tea and cake excellent.... More

My partner came across Bea's while on a walk around the neighborhood where we're staying. He found it so charming he came home to take me out to tea and we both enjoyed ourselves, and our food, greatly. I had the full afternoon tea (wish I had remembered the precise name, but it was "the whole works"--finger sandwiches, scone with... More
