We had a meal here on a quiet Tuesday night - 12 diners between 4 tables. It still generated a friendly, cosy atmosphere. The staff are eager to advise on menu selections i.e. ordering all individual plates for serving the same time or by adhering to conventional starter types followed by main course choices. I would advise ordering hot and... More

I read about this cafe on Tripadvisor and we visted early one evening to have the pre-theatre supper of 2 plates plus a sidedish each. The food was delicious, beautifully cooked and imaginative. The only think I would say is take your time ordering your 3 choices to make sure you have a balance of flavours and quantity. The staff... More

This little Bistro near the Ustinov Theatre was perfect. The pre- theatre dishes were just the right size, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about all the dishes. Very good mix of different dishes and the Kir was perfect Good prices and relaxed atmosphere.

The French version of Tapas, done very well. Service god, but you really are cramped for space. Decent range of "small plates", although some, e.g. thesae bass, is little more tha a nibble. Watch out for the lunch time specials as it is easy to be confused wih the main menu, and one wrong choice, my mistake, cost me £10... More

I really looked forward to eat at the Bistro after having read the reviews on TripAdvisor. The food was good, but we were a little bit disappointed by the service. Maybe it was due to the fact, that we were the only clients on a Tuesday night a little bit late.

I have lived in Bath for 20 or so years and have seen many restaurants come and go! This is definitely one Bath's best. The food is good French home-cooking with little twists here and there, and is reasonably priced. I have been there several times with different groups of people as well as on my own (if I want... a great find in bath. It is all small plates but with afrench influence which is nice for a change from so many italian style places. The standout dish was the skate salad- it a was a piece of warm fried skate with a dressing of capers and lemon. also the shredded duck with mash- a bit like a duck... More

We were tourists in Bath this weekend and didn't know where to eat, and after roaming around, we stumbled across a very unassuming shop front with scaffolding. Not a promising start, but we soon realised that we had hit on a little gem. Great food, great service - leisurely but prompt and the staff were all so friendly. Food was... More
