Have been to The Chequers a few times and it always delivers. Simply the best roast I've had in a pub, and reasonably priced for the quality you get. Decent service and if the weather is up to it I'd recommend sitting outside on the quiet residential street just minutes away from the Royal Crescent.

Huge serving of fish and chips! Fresh and crispy batter on the fish and lovely thick chips with mushy peas was great.
