Had a retirement meal for the boss here on a Monday night which was also the Steak night special - £24 for two meals from the grill plus a bottle of wine. Good pub food served quickly and well in the shadow of the pink power station. An all round pleasant and relaxed meal with good beer.

Two meals were overcooked and dry, one was completely inedible. We were not offered dessert menus or coffee, and a very token amount was reduced for the inedible main course. Very disappointed with the service and food, and would not go back. They don't seem bothered about return business!

We arranged for 30 of us to eat at The Meadow Inn. The staff were very co-operative even though it was difficult for us to predict precise numbers let alone menu choices. In the event there were ten of us for Sunday lunch which was an excellent meal with unfailing politeness from all the staff
