Never eaten here in the evening but have done lunch and tea and cake. Good quality ingredients and service is mostly good (sometimes flaky). Profits go to the Hub and other charities. Always busy. Distinctive and comfortable over several floors. Very clunky disabled access is the only down side.

Great fresh ingredients in season simply prepared. Bread to die for.Impromptu music and coffee in the front room on weekends.

Rather different to some of the more posh Oxford restaurants. The furniture is rather basic. Service was a little slow to start with with. We had curried vegetables - surprisingly spicy and smoked salmon. For mains excellent roast beef and thickly sliced gammon. Very good value. We liked the staff. Would certainly go back.
