We visited becketts on our last visit to Whitby and will certainly be making it a must every time we go there. The cake is sublime and very interesting with loads of choice and huge slices. We shared one and had the other as a takeaway. The staff are charming and as chatty as you want, not pushy at all....

Actually we had tea (lots of types to choose from) and some incredibly delicious cake (super choice and the cappuccino cake topped with errm chocolates was to die for. The choice was excellent... now it's not worth worrying about your waistline as their slices of cake are more than generous ... to the point that if you can't manage the...

The cake is absolutely amazing here as is the ambience, the coffee, the staff and everything about the cafe! A definite must visit when in Whitby. Dogs are also welcome which was great with a corgi and a greyhound!

We love to visit Becketts when we visit Whitby. All the food is beautiful both sweet and savoury. Little helpful touches like reading glasses to borrow and water bowls for dogs. The straw are curled in a fun way which our daughter found very entertaining! The staff are quick and efficient with their service not to mention helpful and friendly....

Staff are very welcoming, coffee is great as is the food, and best of all it is dog friendly. There are also second and books on sale - great variety and reasonably priced

This is a little shop where the walls are lined in books. They serve homemade cakes which ALL look delicious. We had the orange chocolate swirl. YUMMY!
