Description: Originally an oyster warehouse, Scott's has been serving up its legendary seafood since 1851. A conveniently short walk from Green Park and Bond Street tube stations, this Mayfair mainstay uses burgundy leather banquettes and subdued lighting to create an air of old-school elegance which reflects the restaurant's chic clientele. Designed by Martin Brudnizki and highlighted by the exquisite bar topped with onyx and finished in stingray skin, the revamped interior of Scott's still carries the 1960's glamour of yesteryear. Traditional fish and seafood dishes dominate the menu, although seasonal meat and game make an appearance. Atlantic Halibut, Dover Sole and Lobster have proven to be popular choices, and there is also a Roasted Shellfish platter for two to share. The famous oyster bar with its three-metre crustacean display offers a more relaxed dining area and there is also an art deco-style private dining room, ideal for canapé receptions, press launches and private celebrations.

First, the food we had was very good -- especially my pan seared sea bass. But, what's with the cover charge -- just to sit at the table?? This restaurant has a very snotty attitude. The emphasis seems to be on assuring the table is available in two hours -- something the diner only has some control over. The wait... More

Scott's is very Mayfair, and as such has a tendency to be just-that-little-bit pretentious... staff & patrons alike... who are always looking out for the next celeb (so gauche). It can be hard to get a table, but sitting at the bar is perfectly pleasant and less formal. The service is generally good, attentive without being intrusive, and the seafood... More

Have been visiting this restaurant for over 40 years and have seen the highs and lows. Its latest incarnation is part of the Ivy group and it is now more popular than ever. First the highs.... the fish as as good as ever, expensive (this is Mayfair) but top quality and prepared well. The atmosphere is also very buzzy, but... More

Went to Scott's for dinner recently and it was magnificent. I had read a number of reviews which variously described it as "expensive" and the staff as unhelpful. I have to sa ythis was not my experience at all. I found it to be reasonably priced and our wait staff and maitre D could not have been more helpful. On... More

Very expensive and luxurious... can seem a bit pretentious and intimidating, especially with all the celebs and millionaires around. But who cares, the food is great. I have been there twice and both times the food has been outstanding. The desserts are particularly decadent and lovely.

Went for Sunday lunch with friends, had a great time but due to the company and not the restaurant. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed all that I ate and drank, but it was nothing special all seemed a little dated and uninspired. Nothing to scare the horses here, very safe style of cooking. The type of place to take... More

This is the third time I've eaten at Scott's and whilst the menu and service is always good I've never been blown away as so many reviewers claim to have been. It's a busy restaurant in a lovely part of London and is a great place to go for a wonderful choice of fish, worth a visit for that alone.

Quintessentially English from the moment you step out of the cab and the door is open by smartly dressed porters wearing bowler hats . This is a restaurant to impress your guest or date. As a starter, I had a delicious octopus salad, thinly sliced with some olive oil and spring onions on top, quite reasonable for £ 13. As... More

Dining in Scott's last night, for the first time in a long time I was truly blown away. Although not the celebrity or amazingly rich clientele that I am sure the restaurant is used to, my partner and I were treated like royalty from start to finish. 5* luxury dining at it's finest. The service was impeccable, attentive without intrusion,... More
