Loved it, excellent friendly service, great lunch and good prices in this prime location. Good choice of beer too.
On my last two trips to London i visited the White Lion and have to admit i found the staff extremely friendly and helpful and they have a very fine selection of cask ales. I've not eaten here yet but most certainly will on my next visit to the White Lion. It's located on the street that connects Covent Garden... More
Good selection of real ales and went upstairs to the restaurant, busy but done was good and wholesome but the two girls upstairs were fantastic great evening thank you
Firstly I should point out that I have eaten in numerous Nicholson pubs around London and without exception the overall standard is more than acceptable, food is enjoyable and pricing for the capital competitive. But ... The White Lion has failed to live up the Nicholson standard when it comes to dining (in my case upstairs). The food, a shared... More
On a day trip to London we thought we would revisit this fine old English pub in Covent Garden. As normal the place was buzzing with people chatting in many different languages which gave a great ambiance. On Arriving upstairs we were greeted by the same person who had served us for many years he has such a cheery disposition... More

The staff made... More
During a weekend break we needed somewhere for lunch. Don't be put off downstairs as there is not much room however the tables are upstairs. It is very intimate however there is a nice atmosphere and buzz about the place. Food was what you would expect from a London pub and was very good quality. I can recommend the steak... More
We ate Fish and Chips and Pork Belly with Potatoes. Food was superb! Great waitress and the service was wonderful. Atmosphere on the 2nd floor was intimate and pleasant and not at all noisy.
