Excellent tiger prawns and a nutty caramel tart to die for. Served by a really friendy Lara, who has to be the 1st Italian woman who speaks English, with a French accent, I have ever met! Good food and with 'offers' great value. I will become a regular.

As ever the relaxed atmosphere, great service and food make for a brilliant evening out. Having the menu on the board and then explained is a great touch. Not charging extra for the vegetables makes pricing clear. Value for money just bloody good value!

Everything about this place is wonderful: the food is cooked to perfection, the service is attentive and friendly, the atmosphere is warm and cosy. It's a place of great charm. I can't recommend it enough. P.S. I agree with the other reviewer about the Toffee Bread - amazing. Also, their gnocchi is one of the best things I've ever eaten.

La Ruga is a great neighbourhood restaurant. It’s warm and inviting, with friendly service and fantastic home cooked food. The fish is always first rate, but please make sure you save some room for Toffee Bread. It’s a sublime experience that really can’t be beaten.
