Not posh, but busy with great food. Not as expensive as you might think.

Visited the Ivy for my 60th birthday. The food did not live up to its reputation. The crab pasta was overcooked and tasteless, the monkfish, which was the dish of the day, was lukewarm and bland. I would not describe the service as anything but lacking. During the course of our visit I had water spilled down my dress when...

Food was reasonable for London. Company I was in were regulars so had great service. Best laugh was seeing all the posers and so-called "celebrities". Would come again for business but not in a couple.
Lovely, well cooked and presented meal..reasonably priced for London, £60 incl drinks. There was cheaper 3 course option but limited choice. Excellent service.
Loved the Ivy - staff excellent and we were very well looked after. The food was lovely. I booked several weeks ago and received a text message asking if I still wished the table which game me confidence that our table was in fact booked and not given to someone else unlike Giulianos in Edinburgh!!!

This is a regular favourite but newbies will likely need to book ahead.
The prices only go up. What stuck last time were half bottles of red wine that exceeded in price the lower priced full bottle options (of different reds, obviously, but it makes the healthy option relatively expensive), and a side order of spinach for £5.50 - ouch....

one of the most well known resturants in the western hemisphere very good but at the same time just a resturant abeit with a humungus reputation touristy thing to do just so you can say that you have been there
The food isn't terrible but you can get far far better in London for the price. I guess people come here to see other people really.
Visited for a family meal to celebrate my Mother's birthday and it was brilliant. Class, elegance and style as well as very attentive waiters, extremely good food and the overall atmosphere was very enjoyable! Nice to do a bit of celebrity spotting too. Couldn't fault it at all. A must do in London!
