Great little GastroPub...A real neighbourhood gem. Don't take bookings...must grab a table yourself but worth it!

the bavette steak with tarragon butter is simply to die for, washed down with a fine glass of malbec, i go to the havelock whenever i'm in london and eagerly look forward to it. Have tried the steak house round the corner and that is good but not a patch on the havelock, i also had for lunch the courgette...

The atmosphere was lively and the food was, on the whole, quite good. (Though the mussels were gritty and hadn't been washed thoroughly). However, we waited over an hour for our starters and over an hour between the starters until our main course arrived. The staff at first were unhelpful and didn't write the order down.

I go to the Havelock frequently. The food is very good indeed (I have never had a bad meal) and it has an excellent atmosphere.
Last night my wife and I were kept waiting for our main courses for almost an hour. It was the first time I have ever experienced anything but impeccable service there. When we mentioned the...

The Havelock is great, I've been going for years. It won Evening Standard's best pub for food in 2010 and ever since has been incredibly popular (understandably).
Cool mish-mash inside of tables and chairs. Lovely building... great food, good service... Can't really go wrong but it is pretty small and does get busy so get there early/ book to ensure...

This place is always popular with the locals. After some ups and downs in the last years the Havelock is back to its good old self. Not cheap but good food and nice atmosphere.
Fantastic pub tucked away in a quiet residential street. Food is always excellent, the fresh baked bread is mouth-wateringly good. They do now take credit cards by the way!
The Havelock have seriously sharpened their act in the days since the Great Fire. The menu is always excellent (it changes every meal), the fresh bread stunning, the beers and wine lovely, the staff are these days very nice to you and they now take plastic!
All the old gripes of this place have been ironed out and what you...

Don't let the modest exterior and interior fool you: this pub actually has quite a good (albeit conventional) wine list, and some funky food, which was superbly cooked. I was pleasantly surprised!
