This is serious good coffee. The hipster ethos and high quality product contributed to my belief that London is the new Brooklyn.

Fabulous coffee. Rich creamy and aromatic. Only down side was no soy milk for my wife.
Following reviews and hype re this cafe I could not have been more disappointed. I knew it was small so not getting a seat was no big deal and I knew I would have to have a take out coffee but it was warm- horrible. I should have returned it but I was down the street.
There is nothing to...

Victims of there own success. Lo0ng waits and average coffee
Liked the fresh dripped coffee. Tried the brownies, they were good but I had better. Place is very small, we had to share the small table with other folks. I would agree with other reviews it is a snooty place. Goto Starbucks if you want decent coffee and a place to rest your weary feet after all the sightseeing.
Let me be clear up front - I LOVE Monmouth. What I think they need to work on is the layout of their shops (Seven Dials and Borough) as they get quite claustrophobic. This unfortunately takes away from the pleasure of the cup.
Maybe you tell yourself after queueing all that while for a cup of so-so coffee that it's the best you've ever had. It's not bad, don't get me wrong. But definitely not worth the wait or the trouble. Far better coffee elsewhere in London e.g. Cafe Vergnano on Charing Cross Road.
Worth the wait in line, and you will wait in line any time of the day. Of course, it must be good if everyone is willing to do the same. This is coffee at it's perfection from all corners of the globe. Just ask one of the salepeople and they will gladly let you sample different coffees and at the same...

While I understand that the company prides themselves on their outstanding coffee, I was surprised that, when I asked for soy milk (I'm lactose-intolerant) they said that they only used whole milk. Now, I'm used to this in London, since people in the UK love their dairy. However, most places often apologetically say something along the lines of "no soy...

I am always shocked about the great reviews this place always has. If you are a coffee lover you will be very disappointed, as quality is not as good as it is promoted. They do very nice chocolates, lattes and very nice bread and jam breakfast. Very crowded all the time, lots of better options around.
