Been to the vinery too often I'm my life. the atmosphere is nice on a warm and sunny friday evening when everyone enjoys a beer after work outside in a square in front of a church. I never liked the inside as it is usually to loud to have a conversation. the service at the bar can take a while... More

Comfortable, unpretentious pub with a nice restaurant; good selection of food, mostly British, served by friendly efficient staff.

The Vintry is smack in the middle of the City and you could be forgiven for expecting it to be full of boorish stereotypes, but in fact it's very nice, both as a watering hole and a restaurant. Starter of mackerel pate excellent. Sea bass decently proportioned and flavoursome. £50 per head incl half a bottle of Pouilly Fume good value for the City.
