Excellent meal - highly recommend the smoked salmon & wasabi starter. The food was universally good and the service was outstanding, friendly and attentive. The restaurant hit the right spot in terms of being welcoming, relaxed and comfortable yet classy. A hard combo to pull off.

I visited this restaurant after my partner read the reviews on trip adviser. We were not disappointed. We were the first to arrive for the evening sitting and were offered the option of sitting in the air conditioned part of the restaurant - a must during the current heat wave. After a lovely refreshing glass of Pimms (not on the... More

We were a family of 6 ( all adults) in london for the European rugby Cup final and staying not far from the restaurant. Booked it in advance based on earlier Tripadvisor reviews . We all enjoyed the experience, the service was the best part, very friendly and helpful . Overall the food was really good the only exception being... More

I found this restaurant on Trip Advisor, having read the positive reviews and decided to give it a try.....it didn't disappoint. The service was good being friendly and well paced. The food was lovely and hot, and the wine perfectly chilled. The portion weren't meagre, but not over facing and the restaurant as a whole had a relaxed atmosphere with... More

We are habitual eaters at Whits and we are never disappointed. The food varies according to what Steve can find that is in season and that he can cook and serve at a very reasonable cost. Good well priced wine list and warm welcome. Service is always friendly and professional. Large portions of fine food. Unusual and a pleasant surprise.... More

I dined in this restaurant with a few friends. Eva, the hostess, makes you feel at home. Lovely choice of starters, mains and desserts. Our steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection. We’ll return for sure!

My husband read reviews on this restaurant before visiting London. We have traveled extensively and eat out often in our hometown of Portland, Or and can honestly say the food here was amazing. Eva was more than helpful and quite friendly. Her husband, Steve, is the chef and responsible for the unforgettable lobster & shrimp sausage that came with my... More

A group of 8 visited Whits last Friday ( 2 who had not been before) and we were not disappointed. It was a lovely evening, great company, excellent food and service, lovely touches from Eva and all the staff. Thanks for the champagne and birthday dessert for Mary....! We can not think of anywhere better to go than Whits when... More

The food would have been considered really good food in the 90's or naughties, but the culinary scene in London has moved on and reached higher heights while this restaurant hasn't. Don't get me wrong, the dishes are perfectly decent and some are downright tasty, but you won't find any dishes here that will blow your mind and you'll have... More

You are quite right-we are not a ground breaking or trendy restaurant-we are a small neighbourhood restaurant that has consistently served freshly cooked and tasty food in our own style for over 8 years responding more to customer feedback than food fashion. Tripadvisor is a fabulous forum for guests to air their opinions but I don't believe anyone thinks it... More
