Had a Sunday Lunch hear yesterday. Possibly the worst and certainly the worst value (not that their was much value). Staff nice but food was bland at best (smoked mackeral and beetroot was plain and without much flavour. should have been described as a pate) and awful at worst. We both had Roast Beef (£21.50). i have never been served... More

Food was tasty, fresh and in season. The small menu is nice and seems to be every changing. The organic beer and wine selection was impressive and we found the staff to be friendly. The dining area got a bit loud when it was full and I found it to be a bit cold. I understand that being an organic... More

The menu was simple, seasonal and the food exemplary. The place has an earthy informality with a a well lit and spacious dining/bar area. The service was very good and responsive. It was expensive though - a lunch for two 2 courses with a glas of wine each came in at an eye watering £80 (including tip). On balance, worth... More

Three of us for dinner tonight. Searched for an Organic Pub in London and after passing on a couple that advertised they were but turned out not really being certified, we decided on trying The Duke and are SO glad we did. While the food menu is seasonal (as any real organic restaurant is), we initially thought we would miss... More

This is my second visit to The Duke of Cambridge. On the first I was there for a drink and was impressed by the range of organic beers, ciders and wines. This time it was for a meal. Whilst the food was good (pollock rarebit) the restaurant lacked atmosphere and we wished we had eaten in the main pub area.... More

Menu stated roast lamb not lamb steaks, which were served, when asked for mint sauce the answer was quite simple we don't have it and walked off. One of my guests had rabbit casserole, which turned out to be rabbit curry casserole very hot. I had pasta with tasteless tomato dish water with a few vegetables. Overall for £164.00 it... More

One of the best pubs in Islington. Very good selection of organic beers and food. Located in one of the most interesting spots of the area, it's a pleasant pub to go to, both alone and in groups. A little too noisy at times. Spaces, however, are wide enough to make you feel comfortable when it gets crowded.

I had lunch at this pub with business friends the other day. We chose it because our guest is a vegetarian. It was a fortunate choice in that the atmosphere and decor suited the occasion very well. The food was very good - interesting and original. Nice choice of drinks and very friendly service rounded out the experience. We'll be... More
