Description: Three buzzwords come to mind at Vincent Labeyrie and Pascal Aussignac's Michelin-starred establishment: Quality, flavour and diversity. Based in a former Lyons Tea House, next to Smithfield Market, Club Gascon offers a menu of mouth-watering selections. Inspired by the gastronomy of the chefs' native South-West France, enjoy dishes such as La Route du Sel, Le Potager, Les Foies Gras, L'Oceane and Les Paturages, as well as a monthly 5-course menu available for lunch and dinner. Chef Pascal Aussignac's talent with seasonal produce, and his ability to bring ingredients together, show in every dish. So whilst you are here, rather than go for the usual starter, main course and pudding, why not try a selection of small dishes, enjoying as many flavours as you wish! Club Gascon also houses the intimate Cellar Gascon Winebar. The highly skilled and dedicated sommelier has crafted a selection of over 400 premium wines from the south of France, as well as numerous exclusive specially-imported wines and spirits, resulting in a truly unsurpassed taste of France.

We chose a menu of five courses. The fois gras came in a plastic small parcel, inside a glass, where in a small soup swam little pieces of fois gras...politely I would say- we do not understand... tHAN small portion of fish, than small portion of lamb, than- at last, the desert. This was the best part. Forgot to mention... More

went for a mid week lunch. The heat and bustle of the surrounding area was forgotten as we stepped into the peaceful and airconditioned restaurant. Excellent lunch menu where we all felt spoiled for choice. All courses were wonderful but you MUST try the chef's cheese which is absolutely amazing. I also highly recommend the warm chocolate fondant served with... More

Really quite outstanding. Lunch menu at £25. I think there were six choices for each course, which I've never seen in a set lunch menu of this standard. Every mouthful was exceptional, and it's the best value £25 meal you'll find anywhere. Crackled capon with scallops ballontine was a taste explosion. Impeccable, and some lovely cruchy texture provided by the... More

Took wife and friends for dinner. Excellent staff and delicious menu. Shame we were too full to order dessert.

I left dinner last feeling positively elated and still do. Thanks to London Restaurant Fortnight was discovered the culinary delights of Club Gascon. Our meal was nothing short of amazing from the Amuse Bouche to the Chocolates at the end. My fish starter was positively delicious including the bubbling foam it was topped with, our mains were lovely, our pallet... More

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the elegant Club Gason last week. Great service and a relaxed atmosphere added to the Gallic charms of Club Gascon. The flower display was extravagantly charming which could also describe the wine list. The tasting menu looked mouthwatering, we however settled for the very reasonably priced @ £25 three course menu. I enjoyed the Black... More

Had a business lunch here in Feb 2012. The building is located near Smithfield Market and Bart's Hosiptal in an unassuming building, Inside the decor is restrained although probably a little too much marble for my taste. Very comfortable for longer lunches and the atmosphere (Tuesday lunch) was prett good, with a mix of what looked like business and private... More

My partner and I visited the wonderful Club Gascon on a busy Saturday evening. The entire restaurant was busy but in no way did the service feel rushed or disorderly, the waiting team were superb and discreet in their attention After much deliberation we chose the 'Le Marche' menu with accompanying wines. The deliberation was by me, purely because I... More

Four of us went for lunch and had the set meal with set wine for £85 per head and I thought that was more than a fair price given the quality of the food. Every mouthful is a delight, from the amuse bouche through 5 course to the end. There is always a foie gras course. Each course is complimented... More
