Been here several times and it's very good value for money.I had the steak on my last visit and found it a bit tough. They always have offers on through toptable.com so I would never pay their normal full prices.

Conveniently tucked away in the heart of London. A good place to meet. I have always had good food at a reasonable price and had pleasant service. I like the fact that they do a decent bottle of house wine that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Great food; friendly efficient service and a pleasant atmosphere. I visited twice in one week, once with a friend and once with my 12 year old daughter. I booked a table for the first, mid-week, visit, and we were warmly welcomed despite arriving 30 mins before their noon opening. We ate from the lunchtime deal menu, which was great value.... More

Booked it for a lunch with friends. Food was very good, service was very good, staff were delightful and very attentive even though we were taking advantage of the special offer of 2 courses for a special price. We did decide to have a dessert in the end as it was all very lovely. I personally suffer various allergies with... More

I remember coming here many years ago when it was called Cafe des Amis du Vin. They used to be ahead of the game in terms of wine selection and cheese. The restaurant is not large but the tables are close together and very soon there is a real buzz in the place. Unfortunately, service was slack. Having had our... More

We visited around 5pm on a Weds evening and were taken by the choice of menu/reasonable prices and outside looking into the restaurant the fresh white table cloths etc. At the time of arrival there were approximately 6 tables occupied but by the time we had left around 1.5 hours later no tables were empty. The initial table we were... More

We've been to the Cafe des Amis several times before, and looked forward to coming back. We had a reservation for 7pm, hoping the pre-theatre crowd would be gone, and we could have a relaxing dinner. We arrived about 20 minutes early and were surprised to find pile of rubbish bags outside the kitchen entrance, half blocking the path from... More

My husband and I are always on the lookout for great restaurant deald and this one did not disappoint. The fixed price menu had a great, but not overwhelming selection, the service was attentive but not intrusive and the whole feel of the place was great. The location is fabulous for theatre and shopping. I would certainly recommend - this... More

Looking for an early evening meal near Covent Garden. We were drawn by the crisp white tablecloths. It was quiet to begin with as was really early and the fixed price menu good value. As time wore on the place filled up and the atmosphere was really buzzing. The waiting staff were really attentive. I would recommend a visit.
